Welcome
Following Keystone, USA, in 2008 and Beijing, CHINA, in 2010, the 2012 International Conference on Nanoscience + Technology (ICN+T) will provide an international forum for discussion of the latest developments in nanoscale science and technology and recent advances in scanning probe microscopy and related techniques. In 2012, ICN+T will be held jointly with STM'12, in order to emphasize topics including scanning probe microscopy/spectroscopy and related instrumentation. This conference will also cover a range of topics in nanoscale science and technology, addressing the interdisciplinary, international nature of this exciting and rapidly growing field.
Plenary speakers will give lectures in the great amphitheatre of the Sorbonne University:
Albert FERT, Nobel Prize Laureate Physics, France
University Paris-Sud, Unité Mixte de Physique CNRS/Thales France
Some News on the Evolution of Spintronics
Christoph GERBER, University of Basel, Switzerland
Nanomechanical Diagnostics in Life Sciences
Andreas HEINRICH, IBM Almaden, USA
The Magnetism of Atoms and Nanostructures on Surfaces: an Atomic-Scale Perspective
Satoshi KAWATA, Osaka University, and RIKEN in Tokyo, Japan
Plasmonics: an Innovative Nanoscience for Nano-Imaging, Nano-Analysis and Nano-Materials
Jean-Marie LEHN, Nobel Prize Laureate Chemistry, France
ISIS, Université de Strasbourg, France
Nanoscience and Nanotechnology - the Self Organization Approach
Roland WIESENDANGER, University of Hamburg, Germany
Atom-by-Atom Engineering of Tailored Nanomagnets and Atomic-Scale Spintronic Devices
Leading scientists will give invited presentations on the latest developments in nanoscale science and technology. We expect around 800 attendees from around the globe to present their latest research.
In addition to a diverse technical program, vendors will exhibit the latest equipment available for nanoscale measurement science and technology. The exhibit will surround the poster presentations, providing many opportunities for discussions between attendees and vendors.
We look forward to seeing you at ICN+T 2012 and welcoming you to the historical Paris-Sorbonne University in the "quartier latin".
ICN+T 2012 Chairs
